Horse Riding Fun for Visually Impaired Children
Charity organises summer horse riding at Belfairs Woods
Southend in Sight kicked off the summer holidays by organising for a small group of local visually impaired children to try horse riding in Belfairs Woods.
The staff at Belfairs Riding School were very patient with the group, and the children grew in confidence from their experience – for most, it was their first time on a horse! They finished the morning with ice-cream at the Belfairs Woodlands Cafe.
Community Engagement Officer Georgie, organiser of the activity, said “it was lovely to see the sheer joy on the children’s faces, we had them planning to join the horse riding team at the Olympics 2032!” For more information on other activities organised by Southend in Sight, please visit our website www.southendinsight.org.uk
