Hospital Support

We have a full-time qualified Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO) based at Southend Hospital Eye Clinic.

Our ECLO is available to anyone visiting Southend Eye Clinic and is on hand to offer practical help and emotional support. Being diagnosed with an eye condition can be difficult to come to terms with and while everyone reacts differently, it can be an extremely confusing and uncertain time and, in many cases, emotionally traumatic.

Our ECLO will talk to you about your eye condition and diagnosis, guide you through the Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI) process and advise on what further help and support is available to you.
