Writers’ group donates book funds to charity

Local writing group gifts donation from latest anthology

The Phoenix Writing Group have donated a £300 cheque from their latest anthology to Southend in Sight.    

The Essex based writing group has been meeting for 12 years and have published 4 books, with a different charity supported each time.  The amount of £200 was raised at the launch of ‘Better Than Biscuits’ in March 2022 for Southend in Sight. 

This further cheque of £300 was recently donated by Kim Kimber, the writing group’s lead, representing royalties from sales of the book to date.  ‘Better Than Biscuits’ is available to purchase in hardback, paperback, and Kindle though Amazon.
